The chances are you’ll probably know Gabriel Bruce as a purveyor of deep, melancholic tracks alongside his very distinct baritone vocals that may or may not do funny things to you.
Though latest single ‘Cars Not Leaving’ marks a departure with a joyous reach for the sky aesthetic and the nautical video matches this too, featuring captain Bruce on the high seas munching on some cereal, dancing on deck and generally having a blast. It’s half Life Aquatic half Perfect Storm stuff, hats off to the director – and stick around for a gallant sax solo towards the end.
