We first became aware of Helsinki-based duo Phantom at the turn of this year via their track ‘Kisses’ – a track we loved so much we made it Track of the Day.
Whilst at The Great Escape in Brighton a chance to film a session with the dark-electro-pop stylings of Hanna Toivonen popped-up (going solo for this one), with the caveat that we needed to find a piano. We did better than that and found 30 – at a piano store off Lewes Road going out of the city centre. Toivonen performed a gorgeous rendition of ‘Scars’ in a stripped-back manner – you can still download the original via their Soundcloud.
